When I first moved to Berlin, sometimes I was very lonely and wanted to build my own dialogue with the city. I began to draw abstract pictures, illustrating scraps of my thoughts, quotes from the books I read.
I went to bars a lot and decided that the toilets of the bars are the right places for anonymous conversations with inhabitants of the city. There you can often see the correspondence of random visitors. People there have a moment to think alone. Toilets in Berlin are a permanent exhibition space for my little abstractions.
